*** To arm/disarm the alarm portion you will press down onto the lock at the certain angle of 30º. This should be pretty easy as you can only press down in that one section to activate or deactivate the unit. So if you take the arm and push on it while rotating the arm will only go down on that one section.
The unit will beep when it is armed but makes no sound when deactivating. If your unit is just clicking when armed the battery could be loose or going dead. My unit here did that but it was only loose and when I reset them it started working properly.
The battery can be changed by removing the screw in the lock hole and then sliding out the battery compartment. This is pictured on the back of the packaging/instructions.
This model you have to remove the screw that is located in the lock hole. After the screw has been loosened you can use the key to open the locking mechanism to release the screw. After this is removed you can remove the battery cover from the side of the alarm. I have to tap this on my hand to get this part to come loose. Once this is removed you will see the three batteries in the tray on the side of the alarm. We have attached some images to help see what we are talking about with this model.
Our unit here we had to take the batteries out and reset them and then it started to work properly again. If you are having trouble we suggest you to try this before replacing the batteries in this unit.

You can depress on back side too. So technically two places to depress. One makes noise one does not.
